Rayzor fails his first test

Well, Ray Emery has room to improve, that's for sure.

Rayzor started his conditioning stint in Binghamton on Friday, and didn't do so hot. In front of a crowd of 3704 B-Sens faithful, Emery allowed 4 goals on 38 shots (a meager .895 GAA) in the 4-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch. Alexander 'Sputnik' Nikulin scored the loan goal for Binghamton.

For the record, Syracuse was 0-2 before the game began.

Emery's got one more game, though. And then a week of practice with Ottawa. When he gets back, he'll probably be given the ball to run with; but if he drops it, count on Martin Gerber taking it and running with it for a while.
