Now that's we're down to the nitty-gritty of the playoffs, this whole 'getting to know another team' thing is wearing a bit. Still, it must be said that while Pittsburgh was really offense-based and New Jersey depended on Brodeur more than a new-born Panda depends on its mother, Buffalo brings a much more complete game.
Looking at their offensive weapons is daunting: Drury, Briere, Afinogenov, Vanek - and the list probably goes on. On the back end we're looking at a solid defensive core and Ryan Miller on the goal line. Oh yes, this will be a tough one.
Considering the heated rivalry between the two teams, I expect Ottawa to be pumped up to play against their division rival, and I think this will play in their favour. This playoff, when the sens hit, they win.
Look for Murray to give even more guff to Fisher, Schaefer and Vermette if they don't score a few goals in their series. The sens rode to round 3 on the backs of Heatley, Spezza and Alfredsson, but the ride ends here.
SQUASH THOSE SLUGS!
